JCI European Conference, Budapest
Date: Tuesday 9th June, 2009
Venue:
Welcome to Hungary!
We are delighted to announce that the next JCI conference will take place in the heart of Europe! Budapest, Hungary will host the European conference in 2009. Make sure you spend some time with us, and we make sure you get a good feel of Hungary. During the conference we will get to know more of the Social awareness of the companies from György Soros, touch base on innovations and summarize what happened since 1989, what use we made of our 20 years of freedom.
Dance to impress! The theme of the conference is based on a dance competition, where everybody had a chance to show us what he/she knew about dancing whilst also presenting some unique features of their cultures. Here, at the EC2009 we are going to announce the winners and teach the dace to all of us to share great moments.
Bring your dancing shoes and have an excellent time with us!
We invite you to talk to anybody who has been to a previous European Conference (or other international JCI event for that matter) and ask them what it was like. The great experiences will convince you that you want to be part of the next conference, so start planning and booking now. One thing you won’t have to worry about is that you will be the only one going. There will be several from JCI London and other UK chapters.
Hotel
Hotel Ibis Emke is the JCI UK official hotel – the rate is 74 euros single and 85 euros double, please book asap, there are other huge conferences in Budapest the same week.
FLY BUDAPEST!
Of course there are trains, buses and even ships on the Danube, but by far the easiest way to get here is by Air. Budapest Ferihegy Airport is served by over 43 airlines. is served by over 43 airlines. We have two terminals, Terminal 1 dedicated almost exclusively to discount airlines. And you can get from the airport to the HQ hotel very easily by public transportation. We have checked a few airlines and their fares to Budapest. Of course these are fares as of this moment, but we checked three months out. We would suggest that you start looking at the beginning of next year when the new summer schedules will be available.
