Career development - By Peter Milligan
Date: Thursday 13th May, 2010
Venue: Copa Bar (downstairs function room) 76-78 King's Road, Reading RG1 3BJ
6.30pm for 7.45pm Start
JCI Reading is proud to welcome Peter Milligan of New Generation Leaders who will be talking about the three fundamental principles; Self, Communication and Productivity and how these can help you take your development to the next level. These disciplines are closely interconnected. Pay proper attention to all three and you set yourself up for success. Neglect any of them and you will miss out on great opportunities. This session is largely interactive so please feel free to come armed with questions relevant to your own career.
After an early career in software development, Peter qualified as a corporate psychologist and has specialised in the selection and development of business leaders and teams since 1992. While working for a leading HR consulting firm, he was among the first in Australia to develop and conduct executive coaching programmes. In addition to coaching business leaders and teams, his experience includes career guidance, executive recruitment, outplacement, psychometric assessment and 360° feedback.
After moving to the UK in 2000, he became a director of Europe’s largest executive coaching firm, The Change Partnership (later acquired by Whitehead Mann), before setting up New Generation Leaders in 2005. He researches, writes and speaks about career success and emerging leaders. He wrote the concluding chapter of Ten Things that Keep CEOs Awake and a recent eBook, Career Success Secrets – How to Make That Next Great Move.
We have chosen Copa Bar as the Venue as food is available to purchase from the bar so you can there early and have a bite to eat with everyone before the presentation.
