Training
JCI Reading exists to support the development of its members. Members can attend our regular training sessions to gain a range of skills such as networking, public speaking, leadership and confidence building.
Our trainers have a wealth of experience and it's our members who drive the topics we train, so if there is something that would help you to build your skills and confidence then we will look to include it in our programme.
Debating, Extempore and Public Speaking
This year JCI Reading is taking the opportunity to increase its presence in the national organisation by entering into the debating, extempore and public speaking competitions. To this end we have arranged a series of training sessions that both increase knowledge of the rules as well as participants presentation and speaking skills. If you want to be a more effective communicator we strongly recommend you attend the workshops between February and March.

Creating a Social Image
Speak to just about anyone and they will tell you that Social Media is changing the world, ask them how and you will usually get blank looks or comments that Facebook is the most visited site or that twitter spreads news before it has hit the TV but what does that really mean to you.
What should you be doing (or more importantly not doing) socially online?
